ToggleOn 30th January 2026, I had the opportunity to attend Aikyam by Marmeto, an invite-only gathering designed for leaders and builders in the eCommerce and D2C ecosystem. Unlike most industry events that revolve around presentations and business pitches, Aikyam felt refreshingly different.
There were no long slide decks, no aggressive networking, and no rush to promote products. Instead, the focus was on community, meaningful conversations, and building genuine relationships within the eCommerce ecosystem.
As someone working closely with online brands through ControlF5, attending Aikyam gave me the opportunity to step away from daily work and connect with people who are building and scaling the future of digital commerce.

What is Aikyam by Marmeto?
Aikyam by Marmeto is a private networking event created for professionals actively contributing to the eCommerce ecosystem.
The event is organized by Marmeto, one of India’s leading Shopify enterprise partners. Marmeto works with several well-known eCommerce brands, helping them scale through technology, Shopify expertise, and advanced digital commerce solutions.
With Aikyam, the idea is not to host another typical conference. Instead, the goal is to create a strong community of founders, operators, and innovators who are solving real challenges in eCommerce.
Every attendee is carefully selected to ensure that the conversations remain meaningful and valuable.

What makes Aikyam stand out is the experience it creates for its attendees.
The event begins with an organized pickup for guests so that everyone arrives together at the venue. This thoughtful planning immediately sets the tone for the evening, relaxed, organized, and community-focused.
Once we reached the venue, the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. There was no loud crowd or rushed introductions.
Instead, it felt like a gathering of like-minded people who genuinely enjoy discussing ideas, experiences, and the future of eCommerce.

Conversations with eCommerce Leaders
One of the most valuable parts of the event was interacting with professionals across the eCommerce ecosystem. During the evening, I had some great conversations with people building impactful solutions for Shopify merchants.
It was great connecting with Ramesh from Retainful and Sweta from Recurpay, discussing how retention and subscription models are evolving for D2C brands. I also enjoyed conversations with Gunjan from Flits and Sachin from AiTrillion around loyalty programs and customer engagement.
Another interesting discussion was with Abhishek from DirectAI on how AI is gradually shaping eCommerce operations. It was also good reconnecting with C.P. from Logbase, whose work around Shopify apps continues to support many growing brands.

My Personal Experience at Aikyam
For me, the biggest takeaway from Aikyam was the sense of authenticity in the room.

I personally enjoyed how the event encouraged small group discussions rather than structured networking sessions. It allowed conversations to flow naturally and helped people connect both professionally and personally.
Working closely with eCommerce brands through ControlF5, I often hear about the challenges businesses face while scaling online. Listening to similar stories and insights from other founders and ecosystem leaders provided valuable perspectives.
Events like this remind you that everyone in the ecosystem is navigating similar challenges and learning along the way.
I also had the opportunity to partner with EcomSpark 2025: Shopify & E-Commerce Summit Connecting Businesses and Partners, another event focused on connecting Shopify experts, eCommerce brands, and technology partners.
Dinner and Meaningful Conversations
As the evening progressed, everyone gathered for a thoughtfully curated dinner.
Dinner created the perfect environment for deeper conversations. Sitting together allowed people to continue discussions about business, technology, and industry trends in a relaxed setting.
Many of the most meaningful conversations actually happened during this part of the evening.
It reinforced an important idea for me: the best relationships in business are often built through simple conversations rather than formal meetings.

What stood out the most was the sense of unity in the room. Everyone present shared a common goal: to build better products, stronger brands, and a more collaborative eCommerce ecosystem.
